The big question with these are: can I put food in them and hold them without squishing out the food? The answer is yes, they work fine. I put mine in the upper shelf of the dishwasher a few times with no problem. I think they're rubber. They are a flat surface outside but shiny inside, not sure if that's a coating or what it is. With two trips through the dishwasher the appearance hasn't changed. There is no particular odor or taste from the rubber. They would pack easily into about any space, then pop right back into shape. The tiny one is rather small, the larger one holds more than it appears. Don't let the dog get hold of these, they'd make a great chew toy.Perfect! I had opportunity to try this on my last outing using a friends. I love them. I'm not a super minimalist but don't want to buy "must haves" that I don't use. These are cool, they compress shape and fit anywhere in my pack. They are heat/melt resistant so boiling hot drink/soup can be held in hand without burning, also you could use them as an ovenmit with the stove pot, etc. The large bowl is large enough that two cans of chili fit (barely), that's pretty big. I think I'll use the smaller bowl for most outings for hot drink. Right now I have one of the bowls stuffed into my Jetboil Sumo around the stove to prevent noisy knocking. These bowls are universally loved by back packers, anyone you ask will praise them for their ability to squish down into small spaces. Another plus is that you can turn them inside out and lick them clean or at least mostly clean. The only downsides are that they are smellables and can be too hot to handle if the contents are hot and that they can't be cooked in like metal mess kits.Great cup and bowl set! The small squishy cup squeezes down and fits inside my titanium pot (850 ml) while the large bowl fits over it. Very durable so far and the cup not too hot to hold even after pouring boiling water in it to make coffee. The bowl holds a surprising amount of food. I'm very pleased with this purchase.I ordered these to round out a lightweight cook kit for my backpacking trips. I don't use the cup for anything but the bowl is awesome. I shove it into my Esbit stove kit with no issues and it is insanely light and easy to clean. I use water and a little camp suds, turn it inside out and hit it with purified water and it's done.Love the squishy bowls! The "cup" is.... probably too small if you like to drink any substantial volume of liquid, but we use the bowls all the time. You can flip them inside out and wipe them off to clean up.Perfect for camping. These are standard equipment for most of the boys in my sons' scout troop. This one seems to clean up easier than the set we purchased locally at outdoor goods store (and at a much better price poit!)My friend has these and he loves Them so I had to get them for backpacking. They fit into any space and don't breakQuand même impressionné par la qualité du produit. Fait dans un silicone plus épais qu'a la normal. Bonne grandeur.Works well on hiking trips. Easy to clean.
